WordPress SEO Master Meta Module - Specify Title, Description & Keywords On Posts/Pages

WordPress SEO Master Plugin - Meta OptionsThe WordPress SEO Master Meta module allows you to change the title tag, add or change the meta description and meta keywords for each individual post or page.

You also have the possibility to add a meta robots field where you can tell the search engine robots whatever you want.

Meta Options

In the “Meta Options” section of this module you can enable/disable the meta functionality.

When you enable static title text you have the option to add a static text that will be added to all your titles.

For example you may want to display your company name before or after any title text, although you should really display it at the end of the title from an SEO perspective.

If you check the “Use Category Descriptions As Meta Descriptions”, the category description for each category will be added to the meta description field in the HTML header of that category.

For each Post and Page you can enable or disable the meta options on a page-by-page basis. If you have enabled meta for a specific page, but haven’t filled in any title, description or keyword, you have the option to tell this plugin what to do with empty fields by filling in the input fields below “What To Do With Empty Fields”.

The number in “Maximum Words From Content In Description” tells the meta plugin the maximum number of words that should be taken from the post/page content and put into the meta description tag.

“Maximum Words From Title In Keywords:” - This is where you tell the maximum number of words in the post/page title tag that should be used as keywords in the keyword meta tag.

If you want to have a minimum word length for each keyword in the keyword meta tag, “Minimum Number Of Characters In Each Keyword:” is where you set this number. For example, you might not want common short words like “to”, “and”, “for”, etc. go into the keywords meta tag. You then set the minimum number of characters in each keyword to 4.

Posts/Pages Meta Tab

WP SEO Master Meta PagesWhen you select either one of these tabs you will get a list of all your posts/pages with some fields for each post/page.

In these fields you can specify a custom title, description and keywords for each post/page.

You also have the option to add a robots meta tag to that post page if you wish to set a robots meta tag (<robots=”{your robots text here}” />) for that post/page. Enter your own robots text like “noindex, nofollow”, “index, nofollow”, etc.

You also have the option to make these settings for each post/page when you manage posts and pages.
